Magic Monday - Days of the Week Witchcraft

Magic Monday - Days of the Week Witchcraft

This may surprise you: Monday is one of my favorite days to work with. Monday sits under the moon, which makes it great for anything connected to emotions, intuition, cleansing, and getting your energy steady for the week ahead. So, I want to walk you through what Monday means in witchcraft and give you a few simple ways you can use this day in your practice, even if you keep your craft quiet.

Moon Magic, Monday Witchcraft, What It's Good For

  • Emotional balance
  • Cleansing and clearing
  • Intuition work
  • Dream practices
  • Gentle spellwork
  • Healing
  • Shadow and reflection work

Why Monday Matters in Magic

Ruled by the Moon, Monday brings soft, reflective energy that’s ideal for emotional balance, divination, psychic enhancement, and protective work. Think dreamy, quiet, watery vibes. Perfect for introspective rituals and soul-soothing spells.

This is the day to focus on:

  • Emotional healing
  • Dreamwork
  • Protection
  • Love (especially self-love)
  • Enhancing intuition
  • Family and ancestral connections

Spells to Work on Mondays

Here are a few magical workings that align beautifully with Monday energy:

1. Dream Enhancement Spell
Place a moonstone under your pillow and drink chamomile tea before bed. Anoint your third eye with a dab of mugwort oil or jasmine-infused water. Ask for guidance in your dreams. Journal what you remember in the morning. I tend to forget my dreams by the time I roll out of bed, so I keep a pen and notebook on my bedside table, right under my phone, so I record them right away. I used to use the note option on my phone, but when I'd go back to read what I dictated, autocorrect had changed things so much, it made it hard to decipher what I had actually dreamed about!

2. Emotional Healing Bath
Create a moon-charged bath using:

  • A handful of sea salt
  • A sprinkle of dried yarrow and willow bark
  • A few drops of jasmine essential oil
  • A white or silver candle lit nearby

Sink into the water and visualize your emotional tension being washed away with each breath.

3. Protection & Intuition Candle Spell
Carve a crescent moon and a sigil of your choice into a white candle. Dress it with chamomile or jasmine oil and place selenite and moonstone nearby. As it burns, call on lunar deities for psychic protection and inner clarity. I love working with candles, so this is one of my favorite things to do!

Deities of the Moon

If you like to work with deities, Monday gives you a powerful lineup of lunar beings:

  • Selene (Greek): The Titan goddess of the full moon, often shown in a glowing silver chariot. She’s perfect for full moon magic, feminine power, and cycles of renewal.
  • Luna (Roman): Selene’s Roman counterpart, deeply associated with emotions and intuition.
  • Artemis/Diana: As moon goddesses and protectors of the wild, they’re ideal for protection spells, independence, and sisterhood energy.
  • Hecate: Though often honored at crossroads and during the dark moon, she’s also connected to lunar cycles, divination, and shadow work.

🔮 Crystals & How to Use Them

Moonstone
Use for dreamwork, feminine energy, emotional release. Carry in your pocket on a Monday to stay grounded and intuitive.

Selenite
A cleansing and high-vibe crystal. Use it to sweep away negative energy from your aura, your tools, or your space. Also wonderful in moon altars.

Pearl
Associated with emotional truth and wisdom. If you wear pearls, they can act as subtle charms to enhance inner calm and grace during emotionally charged days.

Magical Herbs for Mondays

Jasmine – Enhances psychic ability and draws in loving energy. Burn the dried petals as incense or add to dream sachets. Jasmine is also one of my favorite types of teas!

Chamomile – Protective and calming. Great in teas, baths, and sachets for sleep and peace.

Yarrow – Often used in love and protection spells, especially when healing past emotional wounds.

Willow – Sacred to the Moon. Burn in ritual fires or use in moon water for honoring feminine power and intuition.

Simple Tools for Magic Monday

You don’t need much for Monday magic. A tealight, a soft scent, or a small token you carry with you can be enough. If you like keeping your practice quiet, a tiny altar or a travel-sized kit works well. Monday is gentle energy. It doesn’t ask for anything fancy.

Final Thoughts

I love using Mondays as a soft reset; lighting a white candle at my altar, journaling with my selenite nearby, and making a calming cup of jasmine and chamomile tea. It’s not about doing all the things, it’s about tuning in and giving yourself permission to pause, listen, and heal.
