A Money Flow Recipe (Because We've All Been There)
Share
Let’s be honest, money can be weird. Sometimes it seems to flow in like a waterfall, and other times it's like trying to squeeze juice from a rock. We’ve all had those moments. Late bills, surprise expenses, or that uncomfortable feeling of opening your bank app with one eye closed like you’re watching a horror movie.
This is one of the reasons why I love working with herbs and intention. Working with them in an intentional way gives me a way to feel like I’m doing something, even when everything feels a bit stuck.
Here’s my go-to Money Flow Blend. It’s made with a collection of herbs and other ingredients meant to encourage prosperity, shift your mindset, and bring in fresh energy (yes, please!). You can create a simmer pot with it, steep it, burn it, dress a candle with it, or use it in a charm bag. You can add different ingredients or remove what doesn't resonate with you, but however you choose to work with it, be sure to speak your intention clearly and from the heart
Money Flow Herbal Blend
- Basil – A classic for abundance and protection. Historically, basil has been tied to wealth and good fortune. It helps attract money while also keeping it from slipping away.
- Mint – Brings in fresh energy and new financial opportunities. Think of mint like a breeze opening up windows for money to find its way in.
- Chamomile – Calms your nervous system and encourages luck, especially when taking chances.
- Cinnamon – If you want to give your money magic a little boost, cinnamon gets things moving.
- Bay Leaf – This is one of my favorite parts! Write your intention or wish on a bay leaf and burn it, or just toss it in the blend. It’s a strong ally for success and manifestation. I typically burn mine at night under the moon to release it into the Universe.
- Lemon Balm – This herb uplifts the spirit, which helps you stay open to receiving. A clear head and hopeful heart is important for prosperity work.
- Nutmeg – Attracts luck and can help with business success and opportunities (if that's your jam). It's the warm little spark in the background.
- Orange (peel or zest) – Encourages joy and generosity from the universe. Plus, orange helps attract sweet, fruitful energy. If you're steeping the blend or using it in a simmer pot, you can use sliced oranges, too.
- Bee Pollen – A symbol of hard work and reward. Bees are amazing and can help remind us that our own efforts can lead to something great too.
- Mullein – This herb isn't used as much in money work, but it is powerful. Mullein supports clear thinking and courage, both of which are super helpful when you're making financial decisions.
The Power of Harbor Water
Now let’s talk about the water base for this blend if you're using the steeping or simmer pot methods. This part might be my favorite.
Harbor water holds some powerful symbolism. Harbors have always been places where goods come and go, where ships arrive full of valuable things and leave carrying something just as important. For hundreds of years, harbors were the lifeblood of cities. Trade, commerce, wealth—they all traveled through busy docks.
When we use harbor water, we’re calling in that same energy of movement, exchange, and prosperity.
If you’re lucky enough to live near a harbor, gather a small jar with gratitude and intention. You don’t need much, just a bit to infuse your work with all that bustling energy.
No harbor nearby? No problem.
You can use one of these stand-ins:
- Add a pinch of salt to regular water to mimic the ocean’s flow and grounding energy. Salt also adds a layer of protection.
- Use moon water made during a waxing or full moon—perfect for calling in abundance and setting your intention to draw money toward you.
How to Use This Blend
Once you’ve mixed everything together, there are so many ways to use it:
- Candle Magic: Dress a green or gold candle with a bit of oil, then sprinkle on the herb blend. Do not leave candle unattended while burning
- Simmer Pot: Toss the herbs into a pot of water and let them gently steam on the stove.
- Charm Bag: Add the blend to a small pouch and carry it with you or tuck it into your wallet or cash box.
- Bath Soak: Use a muslin bag to steep the herbs in your bath water and soak in prosperity.
Money stuff touches everyone at some point, whether you’re just getting by or trying to move up financially. Magic isn’t a fix-all, but it is a way to feel empowered, to focus your energy, and to remind yourself that abundance is possible!
So, go ahead. Make the blend. Light the candle. Open the metaphorical (and literal) door for prosperity to walk in.
And may your week be full of tiny surprises…like finding a $5 bill in the dryer.
Stay mystical, Friends!
